Where do I book?
Our vacation homes book on Airbnb. Our two boutique hotels, The 505 and The Local, book direct on their own sites first, and you can also find them on Airbnb.
Why book the hotels direct?
It’s the best value, and your booking comes straight to us with no middleman.
What is the cancellation policy?
For homes, it’s set on each Airbnb listing and shown before you book.
Why does the price change?
Rates change with the season and the day of the week. The “From” price on each page is our lowest nightly rate, and you’ll see your exact total before you pay.
Can we stay a month or longer?
Yes, at most of our homes. The tiny home and Oak Street Bungalow welcome stays of 28 nights or more, and the Storyteller suite at The 505 is set up for 5 nights to 2 months.

What are check-in and checkout times?
They vary a little by stay. See the table above.
How do I get in?
The Local has contactless check-in and keyless entry, and The 505 has express check-in. For our homes, your check-in details come through your Airbnb booking.
Is there street parking?
Not at the McKenzie River cabins, and street parking isn’t allowed in Sunriver, so please plan around the driveway spaces listed above. Oak Street has one dedicated spot plus street parking nearby.
Can I bring a trailer, boat or camper van?
Yes at the tiny home, which has gravel parking for 5 with room for a trailer, and at The Local, which has room for oversized vehicles.
Anything to know about the driveways?
The McKenzie cabins share a gravel driveway that’s a bit steep, so take it slow in ice or snow. At the lake house, parking halfway up makes it easy to turn around; from the top, you back down to the halfway point to turn.
During your stay
How is the Wi-Fi?
Fast in town, and it usually works well at our river and coast homes too. In remote spots, outages from weather, fires or maintenance are out of our control and can’t be refunded, but we’ll pass on any news we have. Tip: download shows before you arrive. At the lake house, Verizon and T-Mobile work well and AT&T doesn’t.
Can we swim in the McKenzie River?
The river is beautiful, but it’s not for swimming. Please be very careful, especially with little ones.
Is firewood provided?
Yes, a limited amount at the McKenzie cabins. Please buy more nearby if you need it.
Are your homes good for kids?
Yes! The cabins and Oak Street have a pack ’n play and kids’ dishes, and Oak Street has an upstairs play space with a play tent and blocks.
Will we see wildlife?
Often! Sunriver has deer, coyotes and more, and the lake house backs up to National Forest. Please don’t leave food or garbage outside.
Are there quiet hours?
In Sunriver, quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. The Upper and Lower cabins share a building, so sound can carry between floors.
Pets, parties + smoking
Are pets allowed?
Not at the Sunriver Home (a $500 cleaning fee applies if a pet stays).
Can we host a party or event?
No parties at the Sunriver Home. Planning a wedding group? The Double Cabin is made for it.
Is smoking or vaping allowed?
No smoking or vaping at the Sunriver Home.
Accessibility
Which stays have stairs?
The 505’s suites use stairs and aren’t wheelchair accessible. The lake house has three stories, and the Upper Cabin loft is reached by a ladder. The tiny home is single level inside.
